"Le Moulin de la Galette" by Renoir

This is an oil on canvas painted in 1876 by a French artist named Pierre- Auguste Renoir. The painting seems to focus on the two women in the center.  The younger woman looks distant and seems to not be paying attention to the young man in front of her.  That possibly may be her mother beside her.   Looking at this picture everyone seems happy but when given a closer look I don't see any apparent smiles.  The brush strokes add movement to the painting and the dark and light colors add a unique depth.
