Blue Night

Klee
Blue Night
1997
Klee used color and line to express his outlook on life. His work is very simple and that is why I chose it. I think that the simplicity of the work is hat makes it so great. The use of the same hues also helps to imagine that it really is the sky and it shows how the sky can look at night. The different hues show that the night sky is always different and also very dreamlike. Klee's belief was that "art does not reproduce the visible, it makes visible."
