"New York Interior" Edward Hooper

"New York Interior"
Edward Hooper
1921
Oil on Canvas

I really like how his painting look like a photograph. It depicts a picture of a young girl/young woman sitting on what it seems a bed or chair. She has her right hand lifted like she is about to stand up. The viewer cannot see the face of the individual, but you do see she is wearing a light colored dress. Her hair is parted down. He uses light colors towards the back and darker (red and black) towards the front. I would probably consider putting this painting in my future home.
