This is Edward Hopper's "New Rork Movie" and can be seen at the MoMA. This is an oil on canvas and was painted in 1939. I enjoyed Hopper's use of lightness and darkness. Also, it does not seem as detailed from a far but when you look close there is plenty of detail. For example, in the column there is detail and in the overhead lights. I also liked how the woman working in the theatre seems uninterested and bored.
