Woman with a Parasol by Claude Monet

Woman with a Parasol by Claude Monet is an oil on canvas done in 1875. What really stood out to me the most in this painting is the brush strokes. The brush strokes are all very noticeable and althought he puts in hard lines to define the womans dress he makes the painting look very soft and delicate. I also like hoe Monet drew faces on both the woman and the young boy but they are not done in too much detail, there is just enough to notice what Monet was trying to do. The shadow in the grass is also very impressive i feel that Monet took a very difficult painting and made it look so natural.
