Edgar Degas
This painting is called Ballerina by Edgar Degas. He puts the main details and focus on the ballerina that is taking up most of the picture. Her vibrant blue blow sticks out from the duller colors surrounding her. The other ballerinas in the background are not as detailed at the one in the center however. He also makes use of the shadow that is being cast from behind the ballerina, making the picture all the more life like. This picture makes you wonder that the ballerina is thinking and why she is looking at the ground, and it makes you question why Degas decided to create such a drawing.
