Seurat "A Sunday on La Grande Jatte"

This painting by Seurat is multidimensional. There are a lot of colors. There "sun" allows shadows casted behind the people. The fashion is vintage, I'm guessing the 19th or 20th century. There are animals such as a pet dog and two squirrels. There is a lake in the background and sail boats.
The bright light in this picture I think creates a relaxed mood. The crowds of people make the park feel "family friendly". The dogs signify care and fun. The shadows may have a duel meaning and serve as not only to cast a shadow for drama but to also symbolize an optimist theory, "The light at the end of the tunnel" Sailboats make this scene seem lackadaisical.
