Waterloo Bridge

I chose the painting Waterloo Bridge by André Derain.  The painting was completed in 1906.  The medium is oil on canvas.  The size is 80.5 cm by 101 cm.  It is located at Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, Spain.  This painting is done in the fauve style.  One of the reasons I like this painting so much is because it has such vivid colors.  I also like the thick brushstrokes.  I think it is clever how he angled the yellow brushstrokes in the top right corner to look like sun rays.
