And So Was His Grandfather---Goya

Although some of my favorite paintings by Goya are morbid I absolutely find this print hilarious. Named " And So Was His Grandfather" was made on aquatint print and is part of the 80 aquatint prints made by Goya in 1797 and 1798. He used this prints to make fun of the ignorance in society, superstition, and marital mistakes. The title alone is hilarious and when combined with the print makes me known Goya was insulting someone else by calling him a donkey also.
