This is a painting of a lady and her daughter. It could possibly be a mother-daughter relationship. The daughter seems looking at the steam from the train. The lady or mother is patiently waiting with a book in her hand and a pet in her arms. The French meaning of this means "railroad". I like how you don't know what is really going on.
