"Mother and Child" by Pablo Picasso

After his cubism period Picasso returned to classicism. This painting "Mother and Child" was done in 1921 and is oil on canvas. He was married and began mother son works after his son was born. He was in a more traditional time in his life so that is probably why he returned to a more Classic type of art. I liked this painting  because of its natural light feel. The colors used are cheerful and light. The woman's dress is white and flows. The mother is looking lovingly only at her child and him at her as if there is no one else in the world.
