Manet - "The Railway"

This painting is called "The Railway" and it was painted by Edouard Manet in 1873 and was known oil on canvas. The setting seems to take place at a train station/railroad. I really was intrigued by the scene. I like how it focuses on the woman and the little girl as the subjects instead of the background. I also like how the woman is looking at the viewer. I feel like it adds some mystery to the painting. This painting has me wondering what the subjects are doing at this train station and why there is a puppy.
